The Mind-body Connection
Hypnotherapy focuses on the links between the mind and the body, which means that you will be asked to identify the physiological response your body gives to certain thoughts or memories.
For example, a husband may feel insecure about his wife being more successful than he is, or a wife may feel anxious every time her husband is out because she fears she will be cheated on. What hypnotherapy does in this case, is help you to focus on your exact physiological response to a situation.
This physiological response could include various things, like heavy breathing, a rising heart rate, feeling heaviness in the chest, etc. Once your response has been identified, I will then work with you through the process of regression, which involves identifying the past memories that are triggered in that specific situation.
