About Me

I am the Director and Founder of the City Hypnotherapy Centre, an award winning London Hypnotherapy Practice specialising in the treatment of anxiety, depression and addiction.

I have been awarded the Senior Qualification of Hypnotherapy Practice (SQHP) from the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) and the HPD from the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH).

With over 23 years of clinical experience both in private practice and the NHS, I have worked with thousands of clients from many different backgrounds, including actors, performers, corporate professionals and high-profile individuals. Many seek my expertise because they want experienced, discreet support with anxiety, confidence, performance pressure, habits and addiction.

My work has featured on the BBC, Channel 4, The Guardian, Cosmopoliton and Grazia, and I consulted on the top HBO show, Love & Death. My practice has received over 50 five-star Google reviews from clients.

If you need help in becoming the best version of yourself, I’d be delighted to work with you. I provide structured support in a safe, supportive space where you can speak openly. My reputation is built on my extensive experience, warmth, compassion and excellent results.

I began my therapy journey with a BSc. degree in Psychology...

…followed by two years working as an assistant Clinical Psychologist within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in the NHS. Like all people, my patients responded differently to the variety of psychological techniques offered, but the one technique that had the most profound effect with all of my clients was teaching self hypnosis. It was at that point that my curiosity about hypnotherapy grew.

My initial hypnotherapy training back in 2003 was in curative hypnotherapy; an approach that seeks to identify and then correct the root cause of a problem. The results were impressive, but it wasn’t successful with everyone and some clients didn’t want to revisit past experiences. My desire to treat each person and their problem uniquely led me further in my exploration of what else hypnosis could achieve, and I went on to train in solution-focused hypnotherapy, Eriksonian hypnotherapy, cognitive behaviour hypnosis, clinical hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or tapping), NLP, coaching and EMDR amongst many others.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family. I’m married with two young sons and we live with our tortoise (Linus) and cat (Zelda). I’m vegan. I’m a Lindy Hop dancer. I have a passion for interior design. I love roller skating, gardening, and my favourite thing to do is taking the kids to the seaside. My weakness is salted caramel brownies.
